Sales Team - Counter Associate

SALES TEAM – COUNTER ASSOCIATE
 
This position works with customers, answers telephone inquiries, and maintains products/merchandising displays and pricing.  If you like working in a fast-paced environment and enjoy helping others, we want to hear from you!
Duties Include:

• Meet and greet customers.
• Maintain a friendly and helpful manner at all times.
• Become familiar with store products and their location.
• Complete sales, take payments, process returns; identify defective products.
• Create estimates for siding, roofing, garage packages, and decks as needed.
• Complete small special orders or requests for non-stock items such as siding, roofing, garages and decks.
• Assist with inventory receiving and cycle counting as needed.
• Maintain product pricing and displays on the retail floor.
• Stock shelves and catalog displays as needed.
• Keep displays clean, organized, and attractive in appearance.
• Tag products for sale or promotions.
• Handle customer complaints in a positive and constructive manner.
• Assist the rental department in creating and modifying equipment reservations.
• Notify the rental department of upcoming and/or returning equipment reservations.

• Experience in estimating siding, roofing, garage packages, and decks preferred.
• Previous experience working with building materials and supplies preferred.
• You are positive, enjoy helping others, and make customers feel valued.
• Someone detail-minded and organized---accuracy is second nature to you.
• You take customer complaints as an opportunity to improve.
• You are comfortable with computers and learning new software.
• Can have a solid understanding of most products within 12 months of hire.
• You have a great work ethic and show up on time.
• You are adaptable, require little to no supervision, and can jump in to help others when needed.
