Michigan Tech Music Presents XYLOPHONES AND RAINBOWS Performed By The Superior Wind Symphony Run Time TBD | Public Welcome | General Admission ABOUT PROGRAM Michigan Tech Music, part of the Michigan Tech Visual and Performing Arts Department, offers ten music performance groups: bands, orchestra, jazz, and choral ensembles that expose students, faculty, and the community to the artistic and communicative values of music and the power it has to change lives. Superior Wind Symphony is an auditioned ensemble of winds and percussion that performs the music of composers spanning five centuries, living and not, from all genders, ethnicities, and genres. Mike Christianson, the conductor of the Superior Wind Symphony and Director of Bands at Michigan Tech University, represents the fifth consecutive generation in his family to become a band director.
