Superior String Alliance Chamber Players Concert
The SSA Chamber Players return to the Calumet Theatre and will engage listeners with varied and fast-paced programs that cover over three centuries of string music. Infused with renaissance, romantic, folk and jazz elements, this program includes a diverse set of classical music for violin, viola, cello, and bass. The SSA Chamber Players, comprised of the Superior String Alliance Faculty, perform concerts throughout the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The SSA Chamber Players teach at the SSA Summer Music Camp, which takes place in Michigamme during June and July and serves strings students in grades 4-12. Founded in 1984, the Superior String Alliance is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that supports the art of learning and performing music on the violin, viola, cello, and bass throughout Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
