6:30 - 8:00 pm
Calumet Public Library
Open to the Public
Kristin Neva, author of the Copper Island Novels, reveals the magic tricks of writing. How did she create scenes that make you laugh and cry? Quirky characters that are both flawed and lovable? Tension that makes you turn the page? Whether or not you are an aspiring writer, you'll enjoy learning the process of bringing fiction to life. Come to the Calumet Public Library on November 1stto learn some Neva’s tricks of her writing trade.
Set on Upper Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula, Neva’s inspirational novels feature contemporary Finnish-American and Yooper culture while exploring themes of love, loss and faith. Copper Island Novels’ quirky characters are endearing and wholesome, but they are also full of flaws, humor, appetites, and sisu! Neva will have copies of both books available for sale, with proceeds going to support projects of the Friends of the Calumet Public Library.
This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Calumet Public Library.
