Parent Engagement Coordinator (Parent Liaison)

The Parent Liaison / Parent Engagement Coordinator works with a diverse group of parents at both the Keweenaw Family Resource Center, home of the Tree House and the Copper Country Great Start Collaborative to provide support and parenting information to families with young children.

Duties include:

  • Coordinating and planning parent events
  • Developing parent leaders
  • Supporting Copper Country Great Start Collaborative and the Parent Coalition with their scope of work plan
  • Assisting with community collaborations

This is a part-time, year around position with a flexible schedule that will include some evenings and weekends. There is some regional travel and downstate training required. Applicants should have prior leadership experience, minimum of two years of post-secondary education or equivalent experience. Parent of a child under 12 preferred.

Copper Country Great Start Collaborative works to ensure that all young children and their families in Baraga, Houghton and Keweenaw Counties have the services they need. Coordination and leadership for the collaborative is provided by the Keweenaw Family Resource Center.
