The Hospitality Internship provides the opportunity to work with multiple departments, activities, and responsibilities: Lodging, Food and Beverage, Events, Outdoor Activities, Maintenance, and Marketing. This position will divide its time multiple areas of the resort, providing experience in multiple aspects of hospitality operations at the Lodge.
Work with the events coordinator on marketing and event activities, including managing social media and the Lodge website, blogging, photography, event planning and execution, and administrative activities.
Under the guest services lead, the candidate will learn to make reservations, work with guests, provide tourism information, and assist with administrative duties.
Help the food and beverage lead with ordering, scheduling, and managing the dining room, bar, and cafe, including learning about food and beverage safety, mixology, and staff management.
Assorted other duties as needed to ensure the resort provides quality service based upon the resort’s desired image.
The aim of this position is to provide the right candidate with real world experience in hospitality and business management. The ideal intern will be excited to learn, flexible, and willing to work within a fun, joyous, adventuresome environment.
This position will be supervised directly by the Events Coordinator, who will provide guidance, monitor goals and performance, and work with any course or program requirements before, during, and after the internship.
