"Join us April 13 at 9:00 a.m. as we learn about native and beneficial plants that are suited to the Keweenaw’s unique conditions. Experienced gardeners will share their stories and offer advice for creating beautiful, nature- friendly gardens. Presentations this year include bird-friendly gardening, dark fruits of our region, and managing invasive plants. Examples of native plants in local gardens will also be presented, and an optional seeding workshop will take place 12:00 - 1:00 pm. This event is free and open to the public. Located in the Michigan Technological University School of Forest Science Building. Hosted by the the Keweenaw Garden Club, Keweenaw Land Trust, Wild Ones Keweenaw Seedling Chapter, and Michigan State University Extension Master Gardener Volunteers."
