Come celebrate Finnish Independence Day on Friday, December 6th at the Orpheum Theater in Hancock with local favorites, the Pasi Cats. The 2019 Land Jam will help support the Keweenaw Land Trust and their work to protect land in the Copper Country for public use and enjoyment. There is absolutely no other band like the Pasi Cats in North America. Take a major portion of soulful minor-key melody, add a bit of "country music twang", put in a measure each of Nordic tango, classic rock & roll, traditional polka and waltz, a pinch or two of jazz, and serve it up with accordion, guitar, mandolin, and bass. You will get the "modern Finnish dance hall music" of the Pasi Cats to keep you dancing all night long. If your ears don't understand the Finnish lyrics, your feet will understand the beat! Please join us for an evening of fun and raise some noise and some money for a great cause!
