DESCRIPTION:The Keweenaw Community Spark Plug Awards is an annual community celebration that recognizes local businesses\, organizations\, community projects\, and individuals for their efforts during the past year.\n\n\n\nNOMINATIONS\n\nHave you experienced exceptional customer service at a local business? What about a great project that made a significant impact in the community? Do you know a young professional in the community that has made a difference? Please submit your nominations to recognize local businesses\, projects\, and individuals for their efforts in the 2022 calendar year.\n\n\n\nAWARD CATEGORIES\nGrowth - Company that has seen significant growth in employment and/or sales during the previous year.\n\nCustomer Service - Recognized by the community\, other businesses\, and customers for providing superior customer service.\n\nInnovation / Transformation - New or existing company pursuing new products or services that hold great promise for local economic growth and employment.\n\nProject of the Year   A high impact project that is notable within the community and will provide lasting benefits to businesses and community members.\n\nYoung Professional of the Year - A person under the age of 40 who made significant strides in our community and in their profession during the previous year.\n\nCommunity Contributor of the Year - A individual or organization that has made significant strides in the development of our community.\n\nFirst Responder of the Year - A first responder that went above and beyond to help keep our community safe during the previous year.\n\nYouth Contributor of the Year - A school-aged individual that helped spark an improvement in our community through community service during the previous year.\n\n\nAWARDS DINNER\n\nThe Awards Dinner will be held on Thursday\, March 2\, 2023\, from 5:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at the Memorial Union Building in Houghton.
